Horse & Pony Club First Aid
Colmed Group provides first aid services to horse and pony clubs
throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria.
All forms of equestrian events carry inherent risk to the participants, and horse riding is dangerous by its nature. Having qualified first aid medics on hand to treat injured riders is almost a necessity, particularly where clubs may be legally liable if their members are injured while riding at their clubs. This liability could extend to spectators where they are injured by runaway horses. Whilst clubs and organisers cannot guarantee competitor and spectator safety as horses can be unpredictable, they can guarantee that first aid response will be on hand to care of the injured. This means that they will have discharged their duty of care to competitors and spectators alike. Colmed Group provides first aid services to horse and pony clubs throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria. We have assisted with paramedical services at large events held at Werribee horse park and also at local pony club, and adult riding rally days where first aid medics have been required. Colmed Group has experience dealing with injuries sustained by horse riders and we have assisted adult riding clubs, horse and pony clubs and other organised horse competitions with their first aid needs. This has allowed the clubs and event organisers to discharge their duty of care to their riders, which provides peace of mind to organisers and competitors alike. For all equestrian events, Colmed Group has you covered.
