TAE40116 Cert IV in Training and Assessment
Purpose
The TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE Cert IV ) qualifies you to deliver nationally-accredited vocational training in TAFEs and private Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) as well as in secondary schools with vocational programs. The program helps you to develop your skills to plan and organise assessments, create the right learning environment and improve your communication skills.
Entry Requirements for TAE Cert IV
Computer-literate: Able to research and download on-line information, produce documents, create electronic learning resources, use technology during delivery, and assess and record information as required.
Language proficient: Able to communicate in English clearly.
Format
- 3 hours of online Zoom classes x 10 (approx. 3 weeks between each)
- 3 sessions of 4 hours of practical classes for student presentations
- 12 hours of homework per week, will also need access to groups of learners (most can be friends & family) to complete homework
- 6-9 months to complete full course
- Qualification Issued: Statement of Attainment – TAE40116 Cert IV in Training and Assessment
- Legislative Authorisation: MTO GROUP
Learning Objectives
- Ensure the learning environment is healthy, safe and inclusive
- Design and develop learning programs, plan and organise training delivery and facilitate learning to groups and individuals
- Plan and organise assessments, assess competency and participate in assessment validation
- Develop plans and checklists for delivery and assessment, identify/use learning resources and equipment
- How to deal with resistance and avoid the sins of poor presenters
Requirements for Successful Course Completion
- Attendance of at least 9 of the 10 zoom classes and face-to-face practical classes
- Completion of all 10 Units of Competency
